Just a Few of Her Favorite Things…

by Melissa R. on December 6, 2013

Favorite thingsFuzzy Gorilla: This is a tried & true toy that we have had since Emme was just a baby. We are on Gorilla #2, Gorilla Dog Toynow, as he lost his arms, and then the holes with stuffing coming out of them were too much temptation for Emme. I will note, Emme is not a “destroyer”, but we do play tugs, which is why he lost his arms. But it took a good long while and everything else held up!

P.S. We offer a Christmas Version of this toy (On Emme’s Wish List!)

Kibble Nibbler: This is one of the best things I ever bought. We have used this DAILY ever since we brought Emme home at 8 weeks old. She gets at least one meal a day out of her Kibble Nibbler and she never tires of it. It’s a great way for her to burn a little extra energy and gives me a few free minutes!

Bully Sticks: We cannot get enough Bully Sticks. Nowadays we go for the largest possible ones, as they last the longest. I like that they are natural, with no preservatives or unwanted extras.

KONG: We use it with some kibble or treats, sometimes I top it with cheese or peanut butter. I try to mix it up. Sometimes I fill it with a combination of yogurt and canned pumpkin; then I freeze it for an extra long treat (in fact, I do this often with empty marrow bones)!

KONG TUGS: Tugging is one of Emme’s favorite things to do, and this tug toy is the best we have found. It holds up well, is sturdy, and even has squeakers! Highly recommended for a tugger.

Chuck-It: Emme has TONS of energy. She needs quite a lot of solid running to really get worn down a bit here and there. So the Chuck-It is ideal. I have a stack of tennis balls, and throw, throw, throw, and throw some more! Best part is, I don’t have to bend down all the time and pick up a slimy ball – it’s a WIN WIN!

Dehydrated Liver Treats: These are by far Emme’s favorite treat. They never get old, and she is ALWAYS excited to get one. She can get tired of some treats, but these always grab her attention and hold it! Plus, I like that they are all natural, and don’t have any fillers. They are also easy to break up into smaller bits if I need.

I hope Emme’s list gives you some new ideas of toys & treats for your dog! What are some of your pet’s favorite things?
