Most people who follow the blog know about our gem LiveAquaria.com. Directed by Kevin Kohen, the coral farm here at Drs. Foster and Smith is known across the country! I’ve personally had the pleasure of getting to go on a tour of the facility, and it’s amazing the majestic sights to see in the building right next door.

Last week the coral farm was featured in the local Star Journal, with an amazing piece by Sue Schneider. The second paragraph of her piece really hit it on the nail, in my opinion, as to what can be said about the coral farm.

“But dog beds and flea and tick medications aside, it’s the “coral farm” (Aquaculture Coral and Marine Life Facility) that shows incredible innovation and acumen. From navigating the complexities of import regulations to the propagation and successful shipping of tropical marine life all across the country, teamwork and knowledge have prevailed.”
