Not All Super Heroes Wear Capes: Our Company Picnic 2012

by Claire H. on June 29, 2012

Getting to be a super hero for the day! Every year we have a company picnic. It’s a glorious day filled with food, fun, and music. This year the theme was Foster & Smith Super Heroes – “Not all Super Heroes wear Capes.” I headed down to start helping with the picnic when I arrived at work Wednesday, and my first duty was to help hang decorations. I decided the day would be a lot more fun if I got in the spirit, so I put on most of one of the kid’s costumes we had (I may have accidentally forgot I looked like this when I drove to get my kids, and couldn’t understand why I was getting so many funny looks).

The owners cooked us an amazing meal, and we spent time listening to live music while honoring the employees who have been with the company for 15 years and more. There were also fun games, which included hodag races, ping-pong toss, sucker-pull, and archery.

Here’s some of our fun:

We had seven people who were awarded for being with the company 15 years and one that had been here 25 years! Here’s a couple of the people with their plaques and flowers:
