Sometimes the unexpected happens and we need to react quickly with first aid tactics to help our pets. Since April is National Pet First Aid Awareness Month, here are some important articles to help you be prepared to react quickly to a health situation for your pet.

I am a fan of the first aid kit, can’t wait to compare content lists! With four cats and two dogs, plus pet sitting – I have used mine often, but the best time was when i sliced my own finger with company due any moment. The gauze, tape, scissors, and neosporin were all right there. Luckily i did not have to use the muzzle! I did have to add emergency direct phone numbers for pets and people – i taped them to the lid.

I think people should know if your dog suffers from heatstroke, the quickest way to cool their temperature may sound unusual but it is to put and ice cube in their rectum. It quickly and safely helps to bring the temp down. But, just keep you pets indoors where they want to be. My 7 dogs would much prefer laying on the cool tile on a hot day than being outside.

Great help. Going to make a first aid kit for the puppy dogs in my life. Great idea for a gift to the pet owners. I would love to win the Clean Response Swivel bin and rake. It would come in handy for cleaning up the Dog Park in town and of course when I go on poop patrol.
