Say Good Bye to Pet Stains & Odors

by Tina C. on April 12, 2010

Every pet owner knows occasional messes are a fact of life.  Maybe you are housetraining a puppy, or maybe your senior dog is experiencing bladder control issues. It isn’t just the dogs either. One of the cats could leave you a nice hairball in the entryway, or the rabbit might relieve herself on the living room carpet while you are cleaning her cage.

Daisy says "Odors are yucky!"

This is only a small list of what has happened in my home. I haven’t even begun to add the messes I have cleaned up from my children. The floors have certainly taken a beating over the years. There are many cleaners on the market to help you clean, and you can certainly get dizzy trying to choose. I am one of those people who has tried almost everything in my quest for the perfect stain and odor remover.

Certainly, the most important factor is that the cleaner actually work. However, the scent of the cleaner is almost equally important sometimes. What good is removing the pet odor from the carpet if you can’t stand the smell of the cleaner? I personally don’t like cleaners that smell like antiseptics. Even though I enjoy the scent of pine trees, I would prefer that my floor does not smell like a forest. I also want to be able to use the cleaner as a quick-clean-up tool or in my carpet cleaning machine. In other words, I want it all!

Because I have multiple pets, I also want to be sure it is a safe cleaner for all of them. Enzymatic cleaners are my favorite. They are natural and work well on set-in stains or odors. After much trail and error, I started using Nature’s Miracle products. I like the light citrus smell, and it is a pretty versatile cleaning product. I can use the same spray bottle to clean up a fresh pet mess, soak a set-in stain, wipe down the litter box, and even spray on the couches and pet beds to freshen them up. There is even a formula for my carpet machine. In other words, I got it all!

Nature’s Miracle has a whole line of products for different tasks,  but I definitely would be lost without my little red-and-white spray bottle.

Wouldn’t be without it, even when I travel with the dogs. Safe enough to use in a room with my parrots too!

What I like best is that a spray will follow my problem sprayer cat’s spray right down the wall behind the baseboard to get where I can’t scrub! Wherever he spays, this spray will follow.

I totally agree with you, I have used this product and it works great. People have to know not to use household ammonia based cleaners because they will not work properly. Great advice, thanks!

Oh I didn’t know they had cleaner for hard floors. I’ll have to check into that because my apartment is all hardwood and I have been hesitant to use something as I don’t want to do any damage. Thanks for the post!

I love this stuff. I recently bought a spray bottle and refill from drsfostersmith.com and can’t say enough about this stuff. We’re going to buy this stuff for my in-laws too!

This spray is truly a miracle and we wouldn’t be without it. Every few weeks one or two of our kitties will over spray and if we don’t take care if it quickly the whole clan will start. This product goes right where their spray goes and takes care of the problem ASAP.
