Do not underestimate an animal it may look and behave just like any other animal ,But an animal just because it cannot speak is a lot smarter they we rive them credit for . Think of it this way you teach and give commands to an animal and it will obey you because it understands of what your command is,but when the animal answers you back or makes a sound to you,DO you know what they are saying to you??.

Dear Brett,
Some veterinarians will request that the potassium bromide prescription label will indicate that the person handling this medication wear protective gloves.
Potassium bromide can cause skin irritation in some people. I hope this is helpful.
Best of luck.

My 3 1/2 year old Black Lab recently started having seizures. He has had 4 in the past month and a half that we know of. Our Vet decided to put him on Potassium Bromide and Phenabarbatol. The Potassium Bromide states that you need to use gloves to dispense this medication. Why is that? Today was his 3rd day on the medication and he was a bit out of it as well as acting a bit intoxicated while he walked around. Is this normal? Thanks for any input you may be able to offer.

Pill Pockets are the best!! I have tried EVERYTHING to give my dog pills and he would spit it out everytime. Then I bought pill pockets and now he gladly eats the treat without knowing there is a pill inside. Love them!
