Mocca doing an agility course

I was first introduced to agility back in 2006. My elderly Irish Setter, Molly, had recently passed away, and I wanted to keep myself, and my Border Collie, Mocca, busy. If you know anything about Border Collies, you know a bored one means T-R-O-U-B-L-E! There happened to be an open house being put on by a dog agility trainer in town, so off we went… We were immediately hooked! I was amazed to see the trainer get Mocca to go through a small set of weave poles immediately even though she had never done that before. We signed up right away to start classes…

Now, 3 years later, we compete monthly, and are working our way towards more titles. We’re currently competing in the “Open”(medium) level of AKC agility trials, having just recently qualified out of the “Novice”(beginner) level. Stay tuned for more about agility, and my adventures with Mocca!
